(lviii.)

"Wait. What makes you think this--"
"--what makes me think this is a good idea?"
"Yeah."
"Well... I'm pretty sure it's the fact that we need a car."

Midge shook her head.

"No, no. I mean, what makes you think it's a good idea to steal one from here?" She swept her arm around, trying to draw Lorelei's attention to the rest stop's parking lot.

Lorelei nodded.

"I mean, think about it, Lor! The people that want to kill us -- the ones that tried to kill us last time -- are just on the other side of that building!"

Lorelei was only half listening. She motioned for Midge to follow, and weaved through the rows of cars, toward a small silver Aston Martin convertible.

"Well," Lorelei reasoned, "We'd be stranded here, with all of Chet's friends, if we don't steal one now. Besides..." she said, running her hand along the side of the car.

"...yeah?"

She grinned evilly. "Oh, c'mon. You know you want to."
